Mr. Koeppel, Mr. Keeney, Mr. Bethea, Mr. Shelton (the first president of the Trias International Society), Mr. James Hawkes, Mr. Scott, Mr. White, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Hutchcroft, Mr. Venson, and Mr. Wallace are all members of the Trias International Society which is the most prestigious collection of respected Karate men in the USKA (United States Karate Association). Under the direction of Mr. Robert A. Trias, who ostensibly introduced Karate to the United States in 1946, these men, along with the other notables in the Society, were the standard bearers of the USKA, and they brought the most highly refined Karate skills to any endeavor that they were associated with throughout the reign of the USKA and beyond.
