Mr. Ron White

Mr. Ron White began his karate training in 1972 under the instruction of Mr. David Foreman. He left for college to continue his academic studies in Grand Rapids, Mi. Upon returning, he resumed his study under Mr. Foreman. While a student of Foreman's karate, he obtained the rank of brown belt qualifying for assistant instructor. He taught in Muncie, Richmond, and Hartford City, Indiana karate schools. In 1975, He was the USKA Indiana state tournament champion winning more tournaments than any other competitor. On June 25, 1976, he was promoted to 1st degree black belt by the USKA promotion board. After receiving his rank, he started his career as a professional full-contact fighter. He traveled throughout the nation winning many grand championships most notably the Gateway Open Nationals held in St. Louis, Missouri and the Top Ten Nationals held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On June 16, 1978 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was promoted to 2nd degree blackbelt at the USKA Grand Nationals in which he won the middleweight division. He was rated among the top ten fighters in the nation in 1977,1978, and 1979. In 1979, he was the National Champion ranking as the number one fighter. He was inducted into the Trias International Society in 1981 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Trias International Society is composed of the most elite Karate-ka in the world. The Trias International Award was first conceived in 1946 as a school patch to the most dedicated students of Master Robert A. Trias. In 1948, in conjunction with the founding of the USKA, all previous awards were rescinded. The award from that time on became a national award presented to only the best USKA karate-ka from throughout the country thereby forming the Trias International Society. Retiring undefeated in full-contact competition in 1982, Mr. White concentrates his efforts in building karate in the Muncie, Indiana area. On March 14, 1982 Mr. White was promoted to 3rd degree blackbelt in Phoenix, Arizona by Grand Master Robert Trias. On August 11, 1984 he was promoted to 4th degree black belt in Hilo, Big Island, Hawaii by Master Soo Jang Lee.
